The biggest barrier to AI adoption is not the technology. It is the belief that you need to be technical to use it well. You do not.
Start with the outcome, not the tool
Before opening any AI tool, I ask one question: what does a great result look like? When you can describe the finish line, the prompt writes itself.
The prompt shape that works
A reliable prompt has four parts:
- Role — who the AI should act as.
- Context — what it needs to know.
- Task — exactly what you want.
- Format — how the answer should look.
Practice on real work
The fastest way to learn is to apply AI to something you already do: drafting an update, planning a week, or preparing for a review. Small, real tasks build durable skill far better than tutorials.
AI is a thinking partner. Treat it like one, and it becomes practical instead of intimidating.
